AGENCY GOALS

IMPAIRED PROVIDER PROGRAM GOAL:

To provide a confidential method for identification, treatment, after care and monitoring of impaired individuals in ten of the professions regulated by the Board so persons will voluntarily report an impaired professional or personally seek and obtain assistance for an impairment prior to harm being caused to the public.

OBJECTIVE #1:
To continually increase the participants in impairment programs each year.

Strategies For Objective #1:

  1. Meet periodically with program coordinators to foster greater cooperation and collegiality.
  2. Prompt referral of all alleged impairment of applicants and licensees to appropriate program.

Performance Measures For Objective #1:

OUTCOME MEASURES:

  1. Increased number of participants who are appropriate for programs. (See Schedule of Practitioners Being Monitored.)
  2. Use information technology enhancements to determine number of Board referrals to impairment programs.

OUTPUT MEASURES:

  1. Number of participants in each program. (See Schedule of Practitioners Being Monitored.)
  2. Track referrals to the impaired programs utilizing Board’s new computer system.
